Automology was recently invited to our sponsor X-1R’s Christmas bash at the Philippines. It has become a tradition for service advisors, service managers, parts managers and after-sales directors of almost all franchised car dealers in the Philippines to look forward to the annual X-1R/CreativeSparx Christmas Party and Appreciation Night.
This event has been branded to be the biggest event in the service sector of the Philippine automotive industry. Remarkably, it is the only event that can bring together service professionals from all car brands in one place without them getting into fist-fights. The 2017 X-1R Christmas and Appreciation Night was attended by over 1,000 service staff from different car dealers all over the Philippines, some travelling from the southern and northern most parts of the Philippines.
During the event, Nigel Mckenzie, Global CEO of X-1R Global Ltd, handed over to Brixton Aw, the President and CEO of CreativeSparx, Inc. (CSI), the 2017 Asia Pacific Distributor of the Year Award. It was the fourth year in a row for CSI to receive the prestigious and coveted award, besting all the other 39 country distributors in the Asia Pacific, Australia-NZ and Middle East-African Region. Mckenzie said, “CSI/X-1R Philippines has now become the global model for X-1R, an example of how X-1R is promoted, distributed and managed in a country.”
Aw said, “The Award motivates me to achieve more in 2018, and I promise an even bigger event in December 2018”, to which Harold Ledda, the X-1R Philippine Country Manager, responded, “This makes CSI/X-1R Philippines an even a harder team to beat now, because of its relentless efforts at pushing X-1R to a level of performance never seen before.”
Over 100 prizes were given away. The winners of the top prizes were:

- Second Prize – Home Appliance – JANSEN MACASERO of Toyota Mandaue, Cebu North
- Third Prize – Trip to Hongkong for 2 – GLENDALIE TABUQUILDE of Hyundai Makati, Pasong Tamo
- Fourth Prize – Trip to Palawan for 2 – ARNOLD TAMAYO of Honda Magallanes, Makati
- Fifth Prize – Trip to Boracay for 2 – NOEL PONSORES of Honda, Dasmarinas, Cavite
The occasion was graced also by Jeff Ketchledge, the Vice-President and COO of X-1R USA, whose heartfelt comment was: “I was deeply awed by such a phenomenal event.”
