MITSUBISHI PH WON NO. 1 GLOBAL SERVICE ADVISOR AWARD

Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation is beaming with pride as Raymond Rivera bagged the World’s Best Mitsubishi Service Advisor Award, beating the other 15 short-listed finalist in the recently conducted Mitsubishi Global Service Skills Contest held in Tokyo, Japan. Rivera, a top caliber Service Advisor of Carworld Inc, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Laus Auto Group, represented the Philippines in the Tokyo event, joined by participants from Mitsubishi distributors around the world.

The Global Service Skills Contest’s point of focus is customer care to foster customer satisfaction, long-term loyalty and deeply rooted trust.  The event was composed of two parts. The first was theoretical where contestants underwent examination and provide essay based on scenarios of the real world to evaluate the contestants’ ability to assess the customers’ character, periodic maintenance and vehicle conditions.

Second was the practical application of skills where full-service advisor process from pre-delivery to vehicle delivery Is performed. The contestants are judged on their expertise to achieve the following: explain the service performed; discuss the repair order and bill of materials; conduct a proper vehicle walkaround; and provide safety reminders, vehicle care tips, next PMS schedules, and follow-up guidance.

Rivera became the Philippine representative because he won the Mitsubishi Skills Olympics conducted by Mitsubishi Motors Philippines in January 2025. He was coached and trained in the second half of 2025 by Allan Veraque Jr., MMPC’s non-technical training senior supervisor.

“Preparation is really about showing up every day,” Veraque said. “Regardless of energy or mood, you still show up, that is what makes the difference. And Raymond did exactly that. By consistently showing up to training for months, he was able to internalize all the lessons.”
