Glories of the Donkervoort D8 GTO celebrated with special edition

Donkervoort, a Dutch manufacturer of lightweight and hand-built sports cars, proudly introduced a special edition of the D8 GTO in honour of the feats that the machine achieved last year, including the lap record set at the Bilster Berg circuit for street-legal production cars, and top scores and fastest lap times achieved during various tests conducted by Europe’s top automotive publications.

Da Costa wins after a chaotic Buenos Aires ePrix

In as many races so far in the first FIA Formula E Series, there has been as many winners. Although there were moments when former winners – Lucas di Grassi, Sam Bird and Sebastien Buemi – appeared as if they could pull off a double win, eventually Antonio Felix Da Costa emerged as the fourth winner of the inaugural season after a chaotic Buenos Aires ePrix.

1,200 luxury vehicles stranded on cargo ship

1,200 of Jaguar Land Rover’s luxury vehicles have been stranded inside a 51,000-ton cargo ship off the southern coast of England for more than a week now. The Germany-bound car transporter ship, which belongs to Hoegh Osaka, began listing shortly after leaving the port of Southhampton and was deliberately ran aground on Bramble Bank to avoid losing the entire vessel.

Toyota share the love at CES 2015

Perhaps taking a lead from Elon Musk’s open source policy at Tesla, Toyota has announced that it will freely share up to 6000 of its patents on hydrogen fuel cell technology in what is seen as a bid to drive the development of fuel cell cars.
