According to the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellent’s (ASE) report from the US, women these days are not only becoming more influential in decision-making when purchasing a car, they are also taking over the responsibility of car maintenance and repair, which used to be the task of men. Data from the repair industry indicates that close to 80% of their customers are women.

New Car Sales In The UK Surge

Sales of new cars in the UK surpassed the million mark for the first six months of 2014 in what analysts say is the best half-year results since 2005. In total, there was a 10.6% increase in sales for the same period with 1,287,265 units sold. The month of June was slightly lower than the average for the half-year, with sales in the month reaching 228,291 units, an increase of 6.2% compared to June 2013.
