AR Man Group: From One Honda Specialist Workshop to a Growing Network of 12 Outlets

Behind every successful automotive business is a team that understands one important thing: growth is not just about opening more outlets, but also about building relationships, maintaining service quality and having the right people behind the business.
For AR Man Group, that journey started with a humble beginning in 2010. Today, the company has grown into a network of 12 outlets, with a strong reputation as a Honda specialist.
Recently, the AR Man Group management team and key personnel took some time away from their daily operations for a group outing, sponsored by X-1R. While it was an opportunity for the team to relax and enjoy some time together, the occasion also reflected a business relationship that has been growing for years. In fact, AR Man has been an X-1R customer since 2015, according to company records. However, it was from 2019 onwards that the relationship really began to gain momentum, with orders increasing consistently in volume. Over the years, AR Man has established itself as one of X-1R’s top customers.

From One Outlet to 12
AR Man’s story began in 2010 with a single outlet in Ampang. Its Ampang Waterfront outlet became the foundation upon which the company built its business, steadily expanding its operations over the years. The growth has been impressive, with the company’s 12th outlet opening in August this year. Rather than trying to be everything to everyone, AR Man has maintained a clear business focus: specialising in Honda vehicles.
This direction was strongly influenced by its founder, En Norazlan, whose extensive technical knowledge came from his previous experience as a service engineer. That technical foundation helped shape the company’s identity and its approach to automotive servicing. Working alongside him, En Azman, En Rosdi, Sahril, En Hazry, En Roqieb, En Zahrul, En Shahnurizwan, En Azrul, En Azani, En Hafizul Saufi, En Hanif and En Azuan have all played their part in bringing AR Man to where it is today.
Together, they have helped build a company that continues to grow from strength to strength.

The People Behind the Business
One thing that becomes immediately noticeable when visiting AR Man is the friendliness of its people. Whether you are a customer, supplier or business partner, the welcome is generally the same: a smile, a friendly greeting and often a bit of casual banter. Having visited the company on numerous occasions, this is something that stands out across different departments. From management and accounts to service advisors, technicians, parts and procurement, the welcoming attitude is evident throughout the organisation.
Even when the team is busy with their daily responsibilities, there is still time for a quick chat. This culture did not happen overnight. It goes back to the founders’ original intention of creating a business where customers would want to return, not just because of the quality of service, but also because of the people they encounter along the way.
After all, good customer service is not simply about fixing a car. It is also about making customers feel welcome and confident that their vehicles are in good hands.
More Than Just a Team Outing
The recent outing was also an opportunity for the AR Man management team and key personnel to get together and discuss the company’s future direction. Among the matters discussed were business plans and expansion, targets to be achieved, new ideas to be shared and implemented, as well as additional types of services that could be offered to customers.
For X-1R, one interesting development has been the growing uptake of its Throttle Body Cleaning service at AR Man, alongside the other X-1R products and services already being offered. It is another example of how the relationship between both companies has continued to develop beyond a simple supplier-customer arrangement.
As AR Man continues its expansion, the combination of technical expertise, a people-oriented service culture and a willingness to explore new opportunities will remain important elements of its journey. And sometimes, taking the team away from the workshop for a day is just as important as getting the next business plan right.
