The Isuzu D-Max X-Terrain has bagged five “Pick-up Truck of the Year” titles since debuting a year ago, and now it has been updated for 2022.

Gone is the Sapphire Blue but Isuzu has added Silky Pearl White and Onyx Black colour options to complement the signature Valencia Orange.
“The new-generation Isuzu D-Max remains our source of pride as it bridges the gap between how pick-up trucks should perform and what customers desire,” said the new CEO of Isuzu Malaysia, Shunsuke Okazue.
“The flagship D-Max X-Terrain in particular sought to ensure customers enjoyed some truly stand-out features that make their motoring safer and more pleasurable,” he added.
An Around-View Monitor has been added, providing a 360° view and a bird’s eye view when you reverse. It also features a selectable 3D guide in the 9” central display to aid parking.

Also new is the Qi wireless charging station that sits ahead of the gear lever. There is a welcome light too that is tucked beneath the vehicle, which illuminates the surrounding foot area when the doors are unlocked. It makes you feel that premium-ness that Isuzu is trying to achieve and it’s a good effort. The 2022 D-max also comes with exclusive lighted scuff plates that aids in protecting the sills from minor scratches and adds a touch of elegance as well.
The popularity of the Isuzu D-Max range, particularly the X-Terrain variant, remains healthy, with many first-time owners reveling in life with a modern pick-up truck.
“Its inspiring safety, comfort and go-anywhere, do-anything versatility has led to a gradual migration of saloon car owners,” said Chief Operating Officer, Kenkichi Sogo. “I believe that with these new added features and colour choices, the D-Max X-Terrain will continue to appeal to many more who will be tempted to convert.”
The updated Isuzu D-Max X-Terrain is now available for booking at all authorized Isuzu showrooms. Deliveries will begin mid-July. There is a minimal price increase to RM146,938.40,on-the-road without insurance. If you’re looking for a premium 4×4 that stands out from the rest, why not the Isuzu D-Max X-Terrain?
