My kids are already bugging me about the upcoming Batman versus Superman film, with of course two of their ‘fave’ superheroes doing battle. Well, it would seem that the good folks over at Fiat Chrysler get excited over movies and of course movie tie-ins as well.

The Indian car manufacturing industry grew up on making old British saloon cars that had been originally desigend in the 1950’s, when cars where much smaller. So, now there is an odd little sweet spot for small sedans, cars that are bigger and better equipped than the tiny Tata Nano or the Maruti Suzuki hatchbacks, but still shorter, in length, than the small saloons sold almost everywhere else in the world.

Burg Design, one of Australia’s oldest distributors of automotive products – including X-1R’s range of performance products – was on hand to provide support for many of the racecars. Indeed, many of them (the cars) sported little X-1R stickers on their front bumpers as they sped around the 3.861-mile track.

Malaysia’s Proton in Major Recall

The Malaysian homegrown car manufacturer, Proton, has announced its biggest recall to date after it finally admitted to a problem with the oil cooling system in almost 95,000 of its vehicles. The recall affects all vehicles with the Proton CFE engine – the hot-running engine becomes prone to developing blocked oil lines and ruptured oil hoses after about 40,000 kilometres of driving.

Matt LeBlanc to host Top Gear

So, the new line-up for the next season of Top Gear has finally been announced and what a line-up it is looking like. The BBC has confirmed the auto magazine show is set to return in May with a total of six hosts to fill the (obviously) very large shoes of the outgoing three.
