Bill Gates is Trying to Stop Cows Farting

Bill Gates’ climate fund, Breakthrough Energy Ventures (BEV), has made one of its pseudo philanthropic investments in a small Aussie start-up company that is researching cow farts and burps. The company is called Rumin8, which is a climate tech company dedicated to the reduction of livestock emissions by creating affordable seaweed-based feedstock that will make cattle less gaseous. When you consider that approximately 14.5% of greenhouse gases come from livestock, this could be a major contribution to slowing greenhouse gases.

This is probably why the company has already attracted some 18 million US dollars in investment thus far. We cannot simply get rid of all the farm animals and stop people from eating meat, so being able to produce it in a more sustainable fashion could be the way to go. Did you know that a Range Rover doing 10,000 miles per year produces less pollution a day than a cow farting? Well, at least according to Jeremy Clarkson…

Now, this is a subject that we have touched upon at length numerous times, but apparently Rumin8 has actually discovered naturally occurring compounds of high enough quality to feed to cows that will significantly reduce the amount of methane they produce. What a lot of people do not realise is that when you drive down to your local burger joint, the beef patty is responsible for more emissions than the car you drive, even if you are in an old clunker. Of course, you could start at home by simply adding some X-1R to your car. X-1R Engine Treatment will both reduce emissions by reducing the friction in your engine and X-1R Decarboniser will eradicate combustion chamber deposits and lubricate the cylinder, leading to reduced fuel consumption and definitely lowered emission. How much fuel can you save? Well, that does depend on the car you drive and how you drive it, but the good folks over at X-1R tell us that a 7% saving or more is easily achievable. Saving the environment begins at home and using X1R products will positively contribute to lower emissions whilst saving you money. Isn’t it time you gave X-1R a go?
