Made by the Trading Card company Topps, the Lewis Hamilton Trading Card was recently sold for more than USD1 million.

In an Instagram post by Topps, the company revealed that “Lewis Hamilton becomes the first F1 driver to have a card sell for $1M+, breaking his own record of $900k.”

The actual sale was done by P1Castle Consignment who states that the sale was the “LARGEST sale in Formula 1 Card History!”

The buyer? A person by the Instagram handle jeff.crypto.cards, and his bio? Well it simply reads, “Hold cards and crypto.”

The holder of cards and crypto is based in Singapore according to P1Castle who were also in charge of delivering the card directly to Singapore.

They certainly live up to their name.

The seller was also revealed as armando___gutierrez a film producer based in America who is himself a pretty prominent collector.

If you ever wondered what rich people did with their money, well, there you have it. They buy and sell expensive trading cards made ostensibly for kids at some point.

The legendary Sir Lewis Hamilton needs no introduction as the winner of seven prestigious World Drivers’ Championship titles, matching the legendary Michael Schumacher.

He also holds records for the most wins (105), pole positions (104), and podium finishes (202), among others, solidifying his status as a significant figure in the sport.
