Okay, okay, here I go again. This time with probably the longest and potentially most controversial headline this publication will ever carry and one that doesn’t seem to have any bearing on cars or the science of cars, but bear with me. The smog in China and the amount of meat that is now being consumed in that territory does have a direct relevance to our view of the humble automobile and, of course, global implications when we consider the pending battle we face with global warming.

China’s New Auto Landscape

China took over as the world number 1 vehicle manufacturer in 2011, with a production of 14 485,326 cars which equals to 24% of world production; this statistic was recorded by the International Organisation of Motor Vehicle Manufacturers (OICA). Other reports put this number at 27%. My point is that this behemoth of China has been growing too fast and too big, and I can foresee many challenges ahead, or rather they are actually facing it now.

X-1R Go-Kart Enduro: Racing To The Finale!

Come 1 December 2013, the X-1R Go-Kart Enduro Series 3 and 4 will take place in the Sepang Go-Kart Circuit.

30 car clubs are expected to participate (maximum of 2 entry per series) in the endurance style races which will last for an hour each. There will be 3 drivers per team. The 3 winning teams from each series will qualify for the Grand Finale at the end of the year.
