After a 2-year hiatus, Worldbex Services Inc. is back again this year with the Manila International Auto Show (MIAS) 2023. The most awaited automotive event began April 13 and lasted until April 16, 2023 at the World Trade Center in Pasay City. It has been filled with so many activities, starting from its opening day with the launch of the new models by the car dealerships present, and, most notably, the Chinese brands unveiling their new line-ups.
Nineteen (19) car brands were present, including Ford, Peugeot, Subaru, Mitsubishi, Hyundai, Changan, GAC, Geely, Foton, Chery, Nissan, MG, Chevrolet, BYD and Great Wall. Alongside the 20,000 sqm of indoor floor area is a 5,000 sqm outdoor display of JAC, JMC and different brands of car parts and accessories. In between the displays and launchings, there was also the Guinness World Record Holder, Russ Swift, and his amazing precision stunt driving show.
An automotive show is of course not complete without the presence of gorgeous ladies as brand muses. In partnership with Inquirer Mobility PH, X-1R Philippines sponsored the Miss MIAS 2023, which coincided with the event’s theme of showcasing the most dynamic and extensive automotive display, thus highlighting the beauty, elegance and confidence of the gorgeous models representing the different participating car distributors and dealers.
Out of the sixteen finalists shortlisted from over 100 car show models, the muses of Foton, Hyundai and MG were declared runners-up after an online voting process throughout the 4-day show. Ms. Pfeona Jose of Peugeot Hall was declared Miss MIAS 2023! She received a fifteen-thousand-peso cash prize from X-1R Philippines, which was awarded by CreativeSparx, Inc (Exclusive X-1R Philippine Distributor) President, Brixton Aw, and X-1R Country Manager, Harold Ledda.

This big gathering has gathered 149,000 recorded attendees for its 4-day event surpassing the 2019 142,000 record! With these people who supported the event and the participation of the automotive industry players, MIAS 2023 is a clear sign that the industry is now back to normal and there was a lot of catching up to do.
