Just a few days ago, we at Automology swapped roaring engines for rhythmic pedaling as we joined the Ride & Refresh event, hosted with flair by Subaru Kota Damansara and Ipoh Auto City Sdn Bhd. And let us be clear, this wasn’t your run of the mill Sunday spin. It was a celebration of movement, community, and the unmistakable Subaru spirit… all under one cheerful banner. Pedal, Chill, Repeat!

The event brought together cycling enthusiasts and Subaru lovers from all walks of life, young guns, seasoned riders, weekend warriors, and lifestyle seekers all united by one thing, the love for living actively and joyfully. It didn’t matter whether you rode a carbon frame speed machine or just dusted off the old faithful from the shed, everyone was welcomed, and everyone was smiling.

By 7:00 a.m., the Subaru Kota Damansara premises were alive with energy. Participants arrived in high spirits and brighter spandex, greeted by a warm, enthusiastic CST crew along with cheerful faces from supporting partners like X-1R, Bike Artisans, and Raytech. As the sun peeked over the horizon, riders fuelled up with light refreshments before gathering for a safety briefing. Because even with abang abang polis providing escort and keeping the route safe, Subaru makes it a point to always steer with responsibility.

At 8:00 sharp, the ride began. Cyclists set off in a relaxed, comfortable formation from Subaru Kota Damansara, rolling into the morning breeze with laughter and chatter in tow. Mother Nature clearly got the memo, the weather was a dream, cool, gentle, and just perfect for a rejuvenating morning ride. Spirits were high, wheels were spinning, and hearts were light.

But here’s where Ride & Refresh truly shifts gears, it’s not just about the ride, it’s about the refresh. Once the cyclists returned to base, they were welcomed back not only with open arms but also with delicious food, cool beverages, and something every enthusiast secretly hopes for, a chance to get up close and personal with the latest Subaru models. From the adventure ready Forester and the rugged yet refined Outback to the sporty WRX, nimble XV, and the slick BRZ, it was like a rolling car show curated by the gods of torque and style.

Datuk PR Chandran, CEO of CST Group, summed up the spirit of the event beautifully. He shared that Ride & Refresh is not just about promoting an active lifestyle, but also about forging deeper ties between Subaru and the community it serves. He expressed a vision to make this event a regular feature, with the next edition revving up in none other than Subaru Ipoh Auto City.
