Toyota Hits Record November Output

Toyota Motor Corporation announced on Monday that they had an increase of 1.5% in production for November with a total vehicle output of 833,104, which is, as the headline would indicate, a new company record.
Within Japan, the story was not quite so rosy with a 3.3% contraction in production to 266,174 vehicles, but the numbers were bolstered by overseas production, which rose by 3.8% to an all-time high of 566,930. And remember that is just the number for the one month.
Sales globally are exceeding last year’s numbers with solid demand for a number of Toyota favourites, particularly in Americaland as parts supply returns to normal after the post-Covid supply chain drama; well, that is according to the Toyota press release.
The Company had initially expected to manufacture 9.7 million cars for the year but, with continued supply chain issues, had revised that number down to 9.2 million as it struggled with rising material costs and shortage of semiconductors. Still, that is a big increase over the previous year’s total of a mere 8.6 million vehicles.
